Livin’ like a Local: Single’s Day Edition

A smiling woman with straight brown hair holds a glass of champagne at a bar, wearing a black dress with sparkling details.

On this installment of Livin’ like a local, we’re going to provide you singles with some great spots to mingle where we Chicagoans go for some fun. November 11th is Single’s day and if you’re staying at Hubbard Place you’re a quick hop and skip from Hampton Social. We recommend trying their signature and refreshing frosé cocktail as you scope out your next girlfriend/boyfriend. Once that conversation with that special someone is sparked, we recommend ordering the social dips to seal the deal.

Four colorful cocktails on a bar counter. Drinks are garnished with orange slices or lime, each in a different glass, with straws and a blurred bar background.

After you woo your “new friend”, we recommend taking the party to a Chicago staple for dessert, Firecakes donut shop in River North. Just an 8 minute walk from Hubbard Place and a few steps from EnV Chicago. Be sure to help yourself to their wide array of coffees and order there crazy comprised donuts; Apple Cider donuts are still in season so hurry while you can!

A variety of colorful, decorated donuts with different toppings, including sprinkles, chocolate drizzle, and nuts, arranged on a light wooden surface.

If you’re looking for an activity, look no further than the 360 Chicago Observation Deck. It’s just a quick five minute walk from State & Chestnut property. The John Hancock 94th floor offers sweeping views of Chicago as you watch the sunrise and fall. You’ll see Chicago like you’ve never seen it before and at a cheaper price than the Willis Tower.

Aerial view of Chicago’s lakefront with sandy beaches, turquoise Lake Michigan, green parks, and city buildings under a partly cloudy sky.
