The Chicago Jazz Festival has been featuring local and international jazz artists and groups since 1979 to encourage and educate jazz music. Running Thursday, Aug. 31 through Sunday, Sept. 2, the Chicago Jazz Festival features musicians such as Jason Moran, Dee Alexander and the Chicago Jazz Composers Collective.
