Labor Day is summer’s last hoorah, so enjoy the long weekend with festivals, sports and good food! Chicago has various events and festivals spread across Labor Day weekend. Stop by these favorite Chicago events for exciting long weekend plans.

For a weekend of live music check out the Chicago Jazz Festival. The Chicago Jazz Festival has been featuring local and international jazz artists and groups since 1979 to encourage and educate jazz music. Running Thursday, Aug. 31 through Sunday, Sept. 2, the Chicago Jazz Festival features musicians such as Jason Moran, Dee Alexander and the Chicago Jazz Composers Collective. The event is free to the public and only a 5 minute walk from 73 East Lake or a 7 minute walk from Marquee at Block 37!

Enjoy a weekend of delicious eats at the Great American Lobster Fest. The Midwest’s largest lobster and seafood festival, stroll through Navy Pier sampling fresh lobster, listening to live music and shopping at the craft fair. Only an 11 minute walk from Moment.

Celebrate with the last Chicago Summer Ddance events of the summer! The Labor Day weekend dance lineup includes house, argentine tango, and square dancing.
