Late Winter Around Town

As we approach the latter half of the winter season, we want to give you some things to do and places to explore while staying warm and indoors. Here are a few of our favorite current and upcoming events in Chicago that are also near our apartments.

The Chicago Theatre Week  is coming to an end soon. It’s an 11-day event with over 100 productions of comedies, musicals, ballets and more. These shows will be at multiple locations, much of which are in a proximity to our apartments. Our corporate suites at 215 West  are in the perfect spot just for this event. Since this is an annual celebration of theatre, tickets will be heavily discounted and ranging from $15- $30, and sometimes less depending on the show. Chicago Theatre Week is a great way to explore the city and different genres of theatre.

Another event that is quickly approaching is the Cider Summit Chicago. This is their 8th annual Apple cider summit which will be hosted under Navy Piers Grand Ballroom in two sessions. This event will provide a variety of different artisanal producers, over 200 cocktails, spirits and meads. General admission includes 16 tasting tickets, and additional tickets will also be available for sale. This is bound to be an incredible addition to your weekend while staying with us at Columbus Plaza or Moment Apartments.

Last, but not least, is the Mardi Gras Pop-Up, which will be at Ina Mae Tavern  in Wicker Park. This festivity is a great find if you’re looking for some New Orleans style fun but can’t make it to NOLA for actual Mardi Gras. Although we don’t have any apartments in Wicker Park, our Hubbard Place location is conveniently close to nearby transportation. Ina Mae Tavern specializes in Cajun cuisine from seafood boils, beignets, frozen hurricane cocktails etc. This festive pop-up event will come complete with a parade, decorations, and more all leading up to Fat Tuesday. So, bring an appetite for crawfish and live blues.
