Chicago’s Best Beaches!

Did you know there are 24 beaches in Chicago along the shores of freshwater Lake Michigan? Here’s a few of our favorite ones to spend the day in the sun at!

One of the most popular Chicago beaches is North Avenue Beach in Lincoln Park. It is home to more than 50 volleyball courts, jet ski rentals, kayaking, and a mini fitness center. Right on the shore is Castaways where you can grab burgers, ice-cold drinks and rooftop seating to catch a few extra rays! Only a 10 minute drive from The Residences at Addison and Clark!

People enjoy a sunny day at a sandy beach with clear water in front of a city skyline featuring tall skyscrapers and green trees under a bright blue sky.

Fabulous views of the city and close walking distance to Michigan Avenue make for a fun day at Oak Street Beach. You can grab a waterfront table at Oak Street Beach Food + Drink or make the short walk to The Magnificent Mile to choose from many other amazing restaurants! Only a 5 minute drive from our fully furnished apartments at the Moment!

A wide sandy beach with gentle waves lapping the shore under a bright blue sky with scattered clouds. Wooden posts are visible in the shallow water, and grassy dunes can be seen on the left side in the distance.

Montrose Beach in the Uptown neighborhood is the perfect place for our guests who want to spend the day with their pooch with the beach’s fenced-in dog area! This beach is also popular with swimmers and kayakers. The Dock at Montrose Beach is a popular spot to grab a bite while enjoying views of the water. Only a 10 minute drive from The Residences at Addison and Clark!

A sandy beach with a few people walking and lifeguard chairs, bordered by blue-green water with gentle waves. In the background, a city skyline with tall buildings stretches along the shoreline under a clear blue sky.

57th Street Beach is a little less busy than the other beaches, making it a great spot for picnicking or playing in the sand. Hidden in the Hyde Park neighborhood, the beach also offers an area for deep swimming and is the perfect stop after exploring the Museum of Science and Industry across the street. End the day with a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants on 57th Street.  Only a 15-20 minute drive for those staying in our fully furnished apartments in the West Loop!
