The holidays may be winding down, but the city isn’t done celebrating yet! Spend New Year’s Eve in Chicago with family-friendly day activities and nightime celebrations for when the clock strikes midnight. Make 2017 a year to remember with these New Year’s Eve events.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Chicago with Chi-Town Rising! Partnering with NBC Chicago and Telemundo, the event is free with ticket download. The night’s musical lineup includes Saint Motel, Sir the Baptist and Blackhawk’s singer Jim Cornelison will host while performing his infamous national anthem. The outdoor party will also feature food and beverage stands, and ring in the celebration with Midnight Fireworks. Viewing zones will be located on Upper Wacker between Michigan Ave and Columbus Drive, only a 5 minute walk from 73 East Lake or a 9 minute walk from Marquee at Block 37.

Raise a glass and celebrate with Navy Pier! Skip the champagne and instead sample over 20 local craft beers including Goose Island and Half Acre. After midnight enjoy a pizza buffet along with more drinks and live music. The event will be held in the historic Salvage One building, only a 9 minute drive from Catalyst Apartments or Arkadia Towers.

Celebrate all day with the kid-friendly Noon Year’s Eve at the Chicago Children’s Museum. Families can spend the afternoon making crafts and noisemakers and counting down to 2017 with a dance party. When the clock strikes twelve enjoy a confetti finish and more dancing! Free with museum admission and only a 15 minute walk from Columbus Plaza.

Add great music to the mix with Reaction New Year’s Eve Party! The two-day concert event features artists such as Zed’s Dead, Flume, Anderson. Paak and Gucci Mane. Along with music acts, Reaction includes an artist gala, meme poster contest, and drinks for purchase. Tickets are still on sale, only a 13 minute drive from River 595 or Kingston Pointe.
