Celebrate National Bike Month with these Chicago and suburban locations

Enjoy the beautiful May weather by taking a nice bike ride around the city! May is National Bike Month, so put the pedal to the metal and check out these Chicago and suburban bike locations!

Before you ride make sure to grab the gear! Cycle Bike Shop, also known at Recycle Cycle, had a wide selection of used bikes, along with new models, biking apparel, rentals, and parts. They also do repairs and are conveniently open all week. Only an 8 minute walk from Vue20!

What better way to enjoy a bike ride than riding along Lake Michigan with a view of the Chicago skyline! The Lakefront Trail stretches 18 miles from 71st Street up north to Ardmore Street. Enjoy sceneries ranging from boat harbors and boardwalks to parks and gardens.  Access to the trail is only a 5 minute walk from The Belden Stratford, a 13 minute walk from Columbus Plaza or a 6 minute ride through Maggie Daley park from 73 East Lake!

Become a member of the Chicago Cycling Club! The club is dedicated to promoting safe and social cycling exploring the city. Events include weekly training, weekend rides, training rides, and races. Open to beginners and experts alike, join them for the Chicago Ride of Silence at Daley Plaza Eternal Flame, only a 6 minute walk from 215 West Apartments!

Take a ride through beautiful prairie fields, canopied forests, and cornfields. The Great Western Trail is 14 miles of abandoned railway that runs from St. Charles to the DeKalb County line. Enjoy a peaceful view of nature while getting in a workout! Only a 7 minute drive from AMLI at St. Charles!
