Along with the Chicago favorites, including Italian beef sandwiches and loaded-up Vienna beef hot dogs, U.B. has some of the most notable chili near Streeterville. Get there just a 2-minute walk from Columbus Plaza.

Chili is definitely on the mind of the folks at Rockit Bar & Grill in River North (22 W Hubbard St.). This week, Jan. 21-25, is its 5th Annual ChiliFEST: Executive Chef Amanda Downing put together a creative chili offering for each day of the week, in addition to the chili mac and chili cheese fries also on the menu. It’s less than a 5-minute walk from 400 N. LaSalle.

One of the best bowls in the Chicagoland area can be found in Westmont at Bishop’s Chili (250 N. Cass Ave.). Open since 1925, Bishop’s Chili has become famous for their signature dish. The Food Network featured Bishop’s as a place to find one of Chicago’s best bowls of chili. It’s only 4.5 miles from City View at the Highlands in Lombard.

Buona Beef is one of Chicago’s most well-known and beloved Italian beef spots. It’s only fitting that they serve up their chili with hunks of juicy Italian beef. Try the hometown delicacy in a few convenient spots around the suburbs: 4.5 miles from Park Meadows in Schaumburg, a half mile from the Iroquois Club in Naperville and 2.4 miles from City View at the Highlands in Lombard.
