Fancy, Funny Flights Over Lake Michigan
The tagline for Red Bull’s Flugtag event may raise some eyebrows: “Where self-taught pilots meet homemade flying machines.” But have no fear, Flugtag is a beloved worldwide annual event presented by Red Bull purely for entertainment and fun.
This year, Flugtag returns to Chicago for the first time since 2008—the first of its four US event locations this year—on Saturday, September 8 at North Ave (West LaSalle Drive). beach. More than 25 local teams will bring their hand-crafted flight devices and attempt to catch some air when they are pushed off a 30-foot ramp over Lake Michigan.
