Millennium Park is the famed Best Local location loved by locals and visitors alike. If you’re spending summer in one of our furnished corporate apartments downtown or in the suburbs, pencil in these free Chicago events happening in and near Millennium Park.

Downtown Sound at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion (210 E. Randolph) is your Monday night remedy. This is an annual free concert series featuring live music of different genres in the open evening air. Grab a lawn chair and BYOB every Monday at 6:30pm.

You’ll want to trek back out to the pavilion Tuesday nights too. The Millennium Park Summer Film series presents a different movie every Tuesday night at 6:30pm. The huge outdoor screen and sophisticated sound system will provide great audio and visual no matter where you post up on the Great Lawn.

Bring the fam for the Family Fun Festival at the Chase Promenade North! Check out the giant play area for kids, and activity zones presented by several Best Local museums, including the Art Institute and Shedd Aquarium. Hear performances from Old Town School of Music instructors too!

Check out the Spirit of Music Garden (601 S. Michigan) Thursday through Sunday evenings. Get dance lessons by professionals on an open-air dance floor. Learn different dance style moves while a live band provides music of several genres.

Millennium Park is just a 6-minute walk from Columbus Plaza in Near Eastside and a 10-minute pink or green line el ride from 180 N. Jefferson in the West Loop. Take a 27-minute drive into the city from Elm Creek Apartments in Elmhurst to get in on the Millennium Park fun!
