Spend the afternoon perusing the newly-opened American Writers Museum. The museum highlights American writers from the both past and present, including a section focused on Chicago-based writers such as Nelson Algren, Carl Sandburg and Gwendolyn Brooks. Their current temporary exhibits include the Meijer Gallery and Roberta Rubin Writer’s Room. Located across Lake Street!

Home to the McCormick ice skating rink, Maggie Daley playground and infamous art piece The Bean, the park has enough to excite any visitor.
