Saturday, April 22 is National Record Store Day! Whether it’s browsing old classics or new releases, vinyl is making a comeback. Chicago is home to hip record havens and longtime record stores celebrating Record Store Day.

Celebrate with live music at Reckless Records! For Record Store Day the store will hold performances by local Chicago bands for free as customers browse though racks. Reckless Records sells new and old vinyl along with CDs, DVDs and posters. Browse through their staff picks with their custom album reviews! The East Madison location is only a 6 minute walk from 73 East Lake or Marquee at Block 37.

Stop by a Chicago record store staple, Dave’s Records! Open for over 25 years, Dave’s has one rule  — No CDs! Search through vinyl onyl to find new releases or find valuable collectibles. Located across the street from the Kent location.

Stop by the nation’s largest dance music distributor at Groove Distribution! Featuring new releases every Friday, the store features house, nu disco, dupstep and downtempo. Only an 8 minute drive from Arkadia Towers.
