Specializing in delicious dessert creations, Mindy’s offers rich hot chocolate served with plump, homemade marshmallows  — you can even get your cup spiked with a shot of brandy or rum! Cocoa + Co. in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood specializes in hot cocoa creations, though they prefer the term “drinking chocolate.” The European style flavors include Midnight Oasis, a dark chocolate mixture, and Kama Sutra, a mix of coconut, cardamom and clove with rich chocolate. Stop by the cafe and pair your drinking chocolate with more chocolate  — including salted caramel brownies and chocolate croissants. Only a 15 minute ride on the 36 Clark bus from State & Chestnut!
