Spend the day exploring the Art Institute of Chicago. See works by renowned artists such as Andy Warhol, Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh and Cindy Sherman. The museum also features sections on Impressionism, Modernism, Photography and the Thorne Miniature Rooms. Take a tour or explore on your own! The Art Institute is also free on Thursday nights for Illinois residents, only an 11 minute walk from 73 East Lake.

Grab a cup of coffee at local chain Dollop! The modern coffeeshop brews local Metropolis coffee while featuring daily pour over specials. Dollop also baking its own pastries and handmade sandwiches, including vegan donuts, sticky buns and daily pies. Only an 8 minute walk to the Munroe location from 215 West Apartments or a 12 minute walk from 73 East Lake.

Enjoy a performance at the Civic Opera House! Open since 1929, the Civic Opera House is a Chicago architectural landmark home to the world-renowned Lyric Opera. Along with beautiful velvet stages, the opera house is home to three dining rooms for pre-show meals. Tickets are currently available for shows such as The Magic Flute, My Fair Lady, and Carmen. Only a 4 minute walk from 215 West Apartments or a 6 minute walk from Presidential Towers.
